Playstation PLUS worth it?

Thinking about getting this for 3 months £11.99 mainly because apparently

Walking Dead episode 1 + 2 is free for PS+ users in a few days. (priced together i think its about £7)

Also are Deus EX HR and Dead Space 2 still free for PS+ users?

i played Deus Ex but sold it before i could complete it (dno why lol its good game)

Anything else you get which is good?
 
i never thought it was worth it until they do the instant games collection now. bought it straight away and love it! free games every month you cant complain. for £40 a year you get triple that back in value of free games
 
The only thing about the 3 month subscription, is that any games that are 100% free, you only get to keep and play as long as you have a subscription. So lets say for example you got the walking dead for free, were playing it, enjoying it, and your sub ran out, you wouldn't be able to play the full version, just the trial version (if there is even a trial for that, if not you just wouldn't be able to play it).

Saying that though, I've been a member since a few days in, (day one wouldn't be accurate, more like day 3 :p), so that's about a year and a half, and haven't regretted it at all. As I said in another thread, one of the best things about it is that I've been able to play a lot of games I probably wouldn't have had the chance to play because of it.

Overall, in my opinion, well well worth it :D

Btw, any know if this is for definite? I'd quite like to give them a play tbh, and would love it if they were on ps plus :). I had a quick search but couldn't find any information on what's coming up on the service
 
Yeah walking dead is for the yanks only, but I still would say it is worth it. I've been a member for a while and I like how generally Sony EU use plus as entry to a lot of upcoming betas rather than pre-order incentives as they do in The States.

Go for a 3 months sub and see what you think;p
 
Are all of the games on PS+ still free even earlier ones such as Darksiders, Littlebigplanet that seemed to be on it?

This change is tempting me to get PS+.
 
I've been with PS+ since the start, I thought it was good back then but now it's so much better. Worth every penny for sure.
 
Its worth the money just to not have to start up a game, only to be greeted with "Update Required - Filesize 1billion MB - Time Remaining 11hours"

The free games are just a bonus.
 
PSPlus was worth it when i joined over a year ago - now its even more worth it.

There is always a chance you will have some of the games that get put on plus, but i wouldnt let that put you off (unless you buy every ps3 game when i comes out lol), there will also be a game that gets added that you dont like.

45 games a year for £39.99 (cheaper if you get the psn cards online) works out to less than £1 for each game you get - plus there is a lot of stuff when you get extra discounts on dlc, new games, and sale prices etc.

Also remember you dont need a massive harddrive in the PS3. All you need to do is everytime the free games/dlc etc appear go through the screens on the store of downloading it then cancel the download - once you have done that you can redownload when ever you want, providing you have a current psplus sub.

Not massively interested in the other ones (apart from Deus Ex but ive played a lot of that) so much. Though Oddworld strangers wrath looks quite good. Will think about it.
 
I have it and have done for almost a year now. I had gotten my moneys worth out of it before the Games collection came out and some of the new(old) games are great. I have just completed Darksiders again and thoroughly loved it.. :)
