On the road....
I'm putting my faith into Oc/UK forums to help me out in my hour of need.... :o:D

I'm being plagued to death by my daughter (she's doing my bloomin' head in tbh!) to find out the name of a dance / song track that she's caught the sound of somewhere.....

Daddy being the "internet expert" she thinks I am (!) she's assuming I can log onto iTunes, find it & buy it! :o

Problem is, all I have to go by is it

"Sounds upto date"

And seems to have a "Beat and a chorus that goes "Narrr narrr narrrr narrr narrr"
- Don't you just love kids? :p

Any ideas? Tbh I'm not exactly into dance etc, Pink Floyd is more my thing.

I've tried Googling but have not the first clue as to what sort of tune it even is. (Dance / Techno Whatever  ) never mind the name of the track, artist... :o

I fancy some peace in the morning by finding the track & putting it on her MP3 player for her (assuming its on iTunes! )

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks.

Edit: If here is not the place to ask, could somebody please point me in the right direction as to where would be the best place to track hunt!. :)

If its a dancey tune, you tried browsing through Radio 1 and Galaxy's playlist, failing that, leave The Box/The Hits/Kiss/TMF/MTV for a while and i'm sure it will pop up on there in no time if its really popular.

sounds like that one i was looking for the other day, its the last song for a dance cd advert and i hear it in clubs all the time.

That could describe any dance tune from the last 5 years! :p

I know - sorry! :o

It was worth a try.

Dad currently = Fail I'm afraid. :o

I'll keep looking and try to get her to sing it! :D

From the R1 playlist i'd suggest:

Booty L.uv- Some Kinda Rush

Without the extra '.' between 'L' and 'u'...Ocuk filters it.

LOL thats the sort of music she's on about.

I'm progressing, her description of the song is now this...

"da, da, da, da ,daaa daaaa de da da da with a bass note in tune to all of the da's!!" :o - She's 11, I'd have thought she'd give me a better description!

She's not impressed with the microphone idea!

The infuriating thing is I think I know the tune she's on about (the BBC use it in program trailers iirc) it was around a good 12 months or so back and I have recently caught it on the telly, but missed which advert it accompanied! :o

She's been after this tune for ages, why? I don't know.

I've asked a few friends and they look at me if I've gone slightly mad..... Hmm. :o:D

Cheers for the ideas! :)

Is this it? - ???

No mate, thanks for the link mind. :)

Shannon (my daughter) 's latest description is this.....

"The lady starts singing "Aaahhhh ahhh ahhh" or "daah daah daah" in a high pitch in tune to a beat, which then starts to rise & fall in tune to "the lady"'s singing of "Aaahhhh ahhh ahhh" or "daah daah daah"

Which fits with the tune I think I have in my head.

I can't wait to find out what it actually is, £5 its nothing do do with the above! :D

Well, her description is improving marginally..... :o:D

"The Lady" :eek::D

None of those I'm sorry to say.

( Having great fun copying & pasting these tracks into youtube! )

Nice pictures (!) , not so sure about some of the tunes....:o:D
