pc specs

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-180-OK&tool=5

but with the 1gb 4850 ati card.

Hi all a couple of weeks ago i orderd the titan nero system on offer with the 1gb 4850 gpu etc etc. i installed XP and it was a very good pc now i gave it to me bro as it was for him he used it for a few days then said there was wierd lines all over the screen so i looked and yes there was even in bios screen.

so i removed gpu put in me x1950 all was fine even tried the onboard graphics to be sure still no probs. so i sent gpu to ocuk for rma (in meantime pc developed another fault more on that in a mo) they sent gpu back with no prob found so i pluged it in and had fault again ummm i then tried it in the dvi port well that fixed it so i then pluged it back in vga port came back doh loos vga connection if i wiggle it it makes funky patterns so i need to rma that again no prob but wont bother a i think pc needs to go back heres why.

i have no matter what i do no network i have installed the drivers for the onboard network still dont show in device management i wen into bios to insure it was enabled yes it is cleared cmos to be sure still nothing.

the little green light is on all the time even with no network cable pluged in ive tryed every thing i can think of still no luck.

so could it be buggerd?.

please help i need to get it sorted for me bro.

Sounds pretty suspect that the light is on all the time . . .
I would try booting Ubuntu to see if that can find any connections (its never had any issues for me off a fresh install) just as a second check on the software side of things.

i have m8 ive reinstalled xp just to make sure and still nothing no device shows in the device manager so im thinking the mobo is buggerd :( this pc is being a pain hehe how much is it going to cost me to send it back to ocuk?.

only good thing about all this is ocuk are very good to deal with just wished they had checked the vga connection on the gpu not that i know they dident but if they had im sure they would have found the fault but any who 10 years plus of using ocuk and this is the second hardware fault whice tbh aint ocuk`s fault any way and they allways deliver when, what they say. 10 out of 10.
