Hi, i'll soon be buying this graphics card for my computer. I know it's an AGP card, but that is because my motherboard doesn't have any PCI-e slots. Anyway, before I buy it, I have a couple of questions.

Firstly, will this card allow me to run windows vista home premium? It's the last part of my computer I need to upgrade before I switch. I'm currently using my mobo's onbard graphics, and it only has 32MB of memory

Secondly, once I've installed the card, will I have to change any settings or anything in the BIOS, or can I just plug my monitor in, install the drivers and go?

I'm currently running WinXP Home, and I have a Packard Bell IMEDIA Fraser 1308 motherboard.

Thanks in advance :)

That card will run Vista with ease, in regards to the bios, you will need to go in and disable the onboard graphics on your hp mobo.

OK, how do I do that. I know how to get into the BIOS, but where do I go from there?
Almost every BIOS is different, you need to search for it, it can be under 'Integrated Peripherals' for instance and it most likely will say 'onboard VGA' or 'Onboard Video'

Set that to disable instead of enabled then save and exit, make sure the monitor cable is connected to the new card and boot Windows and install drivers.

No that card will be fine with stock cooling. One thing though, while you've got the side off just check on the power supply, that it has 17a on the +12v. Or you might get stability issues.
