I though that the drivers were preventing me from using the left and right tilt on my mouse wheel. It turns out i did not assign left and right tilt to a key. Why do i have to map the tilt to a key on my keyboard what is the point in that why doesnt it just work by itself?

You have to define the button to an action otherwise itll just be a useless button like it is now. You cant expect a button or action to do something unless you define its use. Mainly the extra buttons/functions on a mouse need assigning to something. Wheel tilt on mine scrolls left to right as default settings in logitech setpoint

Ok so why dont you have to do it for left and right click? thats just set up without the need to assign.

left and right click are standard buttons that are predefined in windows let alone the mouse software. Mouse wheel tilt isnt an essential function to a mouse its an additional function and with some mice/software i guess it needs defining.

My logitech setpoint software has left/right tilt assigned to pan left/right as default but i can define it to a key if i want. Its theres as additional functions for ease of use to one hand
