Please can someone help me with my Hyper-V single nic Microserver network?

I've got a Microserver running Hyper V in server 2008 and I've got various virtual machines. One of which is an SBS 2003 server.

I am unable to ping the 2003 box from the host, both machine can get on the internet, but I'm not sure what the best way to set this up so that everything can interact with eachother.

Has anyone got any pointers please?

sound silly, but is the firewall enabled on the 2003 server?

I've sorted it now, the issue was that both the physical nic and the virtual nic on the host server had ipv4 and ipv6 enabled.
