Hi all, as above please can anyone point out any pitfalls or anything that they'd change in the below specs? He ideally wants to spend £400 but is happy to go this far, as long as it's value for money.

He uses his computer for general use at the moment i.e. video, films, music, email, office, etc. but would like to play newer games given the possibility.

Many thanks.

Lol, everyone says that! :) Depends on what games he may be interested, given the possibility?

I think it all looks fine, although I think that RAM is like some £20 cheaper on OcUK is it not?

I managed to conjure up a quick list on OcUK with as similar items as I could, along with free delivery, and the total cost was £438. So I believe you could save a bit more money than your original total if you shop around a bit more.

pretty good but pay the extra £3 and get the Samsung F1 750gb as its bigger/faster/quieter

Acknowledged, thanks for the tip.

Not what I said my friend. I said he would like to play new game given the possibility, i.e. given a more powerful system.

I'm looking at OcUK also for sure, so can you be more specific than "as similar items as I could" please, as this may swing my shopping decision depending on how similar we're talking?
