Please check my build

Hello, long time lurker first time poster, need some advice on this build I'm thinking is my new rig for gaming with the plan to add 2nd graphics card down the line when things start slowing down.

I've patched this together by looking at all the different builds you guys created for other people in my price range which is up to £1500 but requires a monitor as well in that budget, just want to be sure everything is compatible and I haven't made any rookie errors.

If anyone has any suggestions for a suitable monitor - I'm currently using a 19" Samsung monitor at 1680x1050 but looking at upgrading to a 24", would that be ideal for my graphics card?

Thanks for your responses, I know its not possible to be completely future proofed but would an i7 be better if I'm planning on keeping this rig for as long as possible without massive upgrades? I've read nothing but good things on the forums about the 4790k.

The case looks really good but it would be slightly too large for my desk, the desk is 50cm deep you see

I could put it on the floor if the Phanteks case is a clear winner vs the corsair.

Like the idea of having an external cd-drive though, hadn't considered that!
