I'm nearly ready to press the button on this little lot after spending ages reading the great advice on these forums. I keep thinking I've forgotten something. If you wouldn't mind casting your eye over it that would be great!

Intel E8400, Retail
Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (CAS 5-5-5-15
Gainward BLISS GeForce 8800 GT Golden Sample 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 7.1 Sound Card
Coolermaster CM-690 Dominator - Black (No PSU)
Seasonic S12 Energy+ 550W Silent ATX2.0 Power Supply

(using existing monitor, drives, keyb/mouse, speakers)

I'm not too interested in overclocking - but I wouldn't say no to a modest o/c if I can find a good priced cooler and suitable RAM kit. Not sure about this bit.

Any advice gratefully received. :)

Don't be tight, get a modular power supply.

Otherwise very good :)

As for clocking, try putting an arctic freezer 7 pro on there. It's not expensive, and will allow you some overclocking to get you started.

I wouldnt go for the P5k just brought pretty close to what youre looking at getting, it posted once and told me that my overclock had failed, even tho i hadnt done anything, and then hung up. Hasnt posted since, took everything out and put it back and it just sits there doing nothing.
