Hello, I'm about to pull the trigger on my first waterloop order so I'd like to double check with you guys that I'm not missing anything important.
My PC setup is as follows:
Case: NZXT 810
CPU: i7-4690k
Mobo: ASUS Maximus VII Hero
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked
PSU: AX760i
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x8GB PC12800 CL9 1.5V
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB
HDD: WD Green 1TB
^ all that is already up and running with air right now (delivered ~2 weeks ago)
Watercooling:
CPU: XSPC Raystrom
GPU: EK-FC970 GTX - Acetal & EK-FC970 GTX Backplate - Black
Pump & Res: XSPC D5 Photon 170
Rads: XSPC RX360 & RX240
Mayhems Biocide 10ml
1L distilled water
Basically, I'm getting the RX240 kit + RX360 rad + extra fittings and tubing
My plan is to have the loop look like this
with the difference that I have only a single GPU and Res&Pump combo.
I'm also thinking of adding a valve + a short hose to one of the two G1/4" outs of the bottom (RX240) rad for draining. In particular I'm looking at the Bitspower Mini-Valve.
My questions:
(1) Is there anything I forgot?
(2) Anything I should do differently?
p.s. should I get different fans, e.g. the NOCTUA NF-F12 PWM, rather than using the stock XSPC (1650rpm 120mm)
