Hi all... I'm thinking of ordering some parts for my new computer which will be used for games, sound recording and the usual things. As you can probably tell, I'm after something that is reasonably quiet. I have keyboard, mouse, monitor, OS, and cd/dvd drives. Any comments on the parts I've chosen? (ommissions, better choices, that kind of thing) I'm open to suggestions and can spend around the £750 mark.

Thanks,

Have gone for the Accelero X1 as stock coolers on graphics cards tend to be loud, and the Accelero X1 seems to be pretty quiet.

Again, the motherboard choice is completely for noise reduction. That motherboard is passively cooled.

Apart from the obvious, are there any drawbacks of a microATX motherboard?
