Coudl you check if this build is any good please I am not the best at chosing hardware on my own  All I know is I dont want to go SLI or Crossfire and I heard the i5 750 is better with just one card than a i7.

I already have an Antec 902, Samsung Syncmaster P2250 and Logitech X-540 speakers. I know a lot of you are going to say go for the 5870 or 2 5850's but I dont want corssfire and I have always owned a nVidia card and they last me for liek forvever. Think I had a 6600GT last me 5 years Ha!

Also forgot to add that would that Water cooling radiator fit in my case or would I have to put it outside of my case? I will most likely add a water block to the 480 as well when there released.

For that money you could get an i7 setup+ATI card.I've read some reviews of the GTX480 and personally I wouldn't buy one.You pay 100 quid more than what you pay for a HD5870 and get only 10% more performance and also takes a lot more power and runs very hot.53*C idle and 93*C underload. Also 108 quid for a headset? You gotta be jocking.

I know about the heats and stuff but I have never had an ATI card before. I ahve only had a 6600GT and a 240GTS dual gpu card. I have never had problems with them before so i will probably stick with them. I dont need an i7 setup I already have one for my media etc Its a Acer Aspire M7721. I heard good reviews about the Sennheiser Headset and I dont want to go for cheap tacky things.

I would change the graphics card to a ATI5870 or the 2gb version of the 5870.

And use a corsair, antec, enermax, seasonic psu.

I would rather stick with nVidia im not a fan boy but I keep with companys I have been with and have been good. Thanks about the PSU choice though.

iirc the i5 750 is good but in sli or Xfire it will use 2 8x lanes, not 2 16x lanes,
This is of zero concern tbh unless you have two 5870s or above.

£200 on an i5 motherboard is absolutely crazy!!111

Looks good. I mean god bless you on the GPU choice, its going to be an interesting ride. Hopefully Arctic Cooling will step up with a nice new cooler soon.

The only glaring problem with that build as I see it is the motherboard.£195 for a P55 is rather amazing. I strongly suggest going for this instead.

Also, as Stulid says - i'd upgrade the PSU. Something like this would fit the bill nicely.

its up to you on graphic card but id go ati as well not a fan boy as ive had a gt9600 and a gainward 260 which my daughter has got now ive had 4870 and now 5850 no probs whith any of the cards ive had but thats up to you

This instead. All imo of course. A UD5 is full of features I would never use.
This board has sata3 and usb3. I would bet in 6 months time you would be kicking yourself when everything is using these two interfaces.

I strongly recommend the P55A over the P55 chipset.

Now seasonic make really, really good psu's, but they are dam expensive for the wattage.

My personal choice would be a ANTEC new truepower 750W.

Ok I think the seasonic PSU looks good. I have switched it to the UD5 because its cheaper than the UD3R and if I ever need USB3 or Sata 3 I could always buy a PCI card.

So what about the water cooling would that be a bit OTT and would it fit fine in my Antec 902 case?

thats what i would get you've got an i7 on 1366 platform with 6gb sata and usb 3.0 plus the 480gtx and using the heat killer 3.0 you would get some very good oc's with tha water cooling and also keeping most of your chosen stuff tell me what you think ;)

Holy s*** Mr. May your like a hardware god :L Same price with an i7 sweet :) I will probably go for that build then :)

Thanks.

You will be wanting a high quality PSU of the order of 900W+.

I'd go for 1kW if you want to use a 4Ghz i7 + headroom for upgrades - the abovetest is with an i7 @3.33Ghz.
