Yes it will, but if you are going down the AMD route then i would be inclined to get an ATI GPU - something like a 1GB 4870

Tbh i am a nvidia fan, always had them.

From the reviews I've read the ATI HD 4870 is around 5% faster than the 260. the 280 is 10% faster but a lot dearer!

It will make very little difference as games today aren't exactely stretching the cards 2 years ago, let alone any of todays. Blame the console market for that. Go with what is cheaper for "Bang for Buck" performance.

I would also get a better power supply. Coolermaster, Corsair, Zalman or BeQuiet!

I'm not sure if that CPU cooler will fit? It says AM2.

should be compatible.
the psu looks ok, OCZ ain't bad at all.
overall a pretty balanced system.

If you want to save money, go with the 3.0GHz Quad, that way you can swap to an AM2+ board and DDR2 instead of 3, should save you £100-£200

yeah says on there web it fits AM3 as well

Ah that's ok then. Yeh that PSU would be fine. Like the other's said, go with the OcUK 260. Same card, different branding, and the warranty is direct with OcUK.

OK, gone for this atm as the 940 seams to overclock better and cost less.

Will the motherboard be ok/can i overclock with this one?

Anything else i have missed or should think about?

your first spec includes a HDD but 2nd doesnt
