Hi, I'm looking to build a PC to do a bit of everything. Programming and a bit of gaming probably the major uses. This is replacing a socket 939 Opteron 175 so will be a huge upgrade and hopefully last me just as good as my current machine. I have come up with the following components - any comments welcome from compatibility to better value for money.

I will overclock and am not too worried about SLI/Crossfire.

Asus GeForce GTX 470 V2 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with MAFIA 2 £184.98
Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) - Retail £144.98
Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1) £103.39
Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard £103.99
Fractal Design Define R3 Midi Tower Case - Black Pearl £89.99
XFX 650W XXX Edition Modular Power Supply £69.99
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) £61.09
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ) £42.99
Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1156/LGA1366/AM2/AM3) £35.99
LG GH22LS50 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter Lightscribe Drive - Retail £12.91
Sub Total : £723.67
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:
DPD Next Day Parcel
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £12.50
VAT is being charged at 17.50% VAT : £128.83
Total : £865.00

The PC will be in my living room and therefore it is a requirement not to be too noisy. I have considered getting a 6870 instead of the GTX470, but the 470 just looks like such good value at the moment.

PS: I just love the looks on the case so that is not negotiable;)

EDIT: Updated with MB recommended by thrifles

All looks very good, good choice, only one thing Id change would be the mobo, spend a few quid more and get either the gigabyte UD3 or Asus P7P55D-E (theyre the next two down when sorted by price) these both have the new SATA 6Gb/s connectors in additon to the USB3, and as your SSD can make use of that it would be better, plus its only a few quid

Just noticed the R3 case comes with 2 fans. Would you recommend getting more and if so any idea which while still keeping noise and cost down?
