Hey all, the national grid helicoper has been flying about checking pylons today, in only really got one decent one, which then took 30 minutes photoshopping to remove some electric wires......

P.S. These were taken on a canon mk II 75-300mm lens, iso about 100, cant remember exposure, should all be in the exif.

please leave c + c :)

Nearly blinded meself getting this one as it wouldn't focus straight away! I had to pan closer to the sun than I wanted

lol, nice

Crop wise you’d better leave more space in front of the helicopter, so it has "space to fly into"
Also drop shutter speed as low as you can so the propeller wings would be blurred and it doesn’t look as if its petrol has run out :)
I think I have a picture of helicopter somewhere...

ok

themask70 - It could do with being sharper and a touch more blur on the blades.

By the way - I work for National Grid :)

P.S - If size matters then I have some shots of a chinook heli :)

I cant really help the sharpness issue, tbh, i regret buying the 300mm lens that i did because none of my pictures are really that sharp. I normaly sharpen them a bit in photoshop.

And yeh, i agree with you along with everyone else, the blades do need more blur :)
