Please critique my build

Hello,

Been browsing for a while. Looking to upgrade my conroe system, which is mostly used for gaming (runs Deux EX OK on a Radeon 5770) and Photoshop/ blogging etc. GF wants the Conroe system, which gives me a nice excuse to upgrade.

I've put together a build and didn't even get to the GPU and it seems as though things price-wise are getting a little silly. Happy to use the 5770 until I really need a new GPU.

Would be really chuffed with tips on how to bring it down a wee bit without cutting on the specs much (still want the SSD, still want 16GB - perhaps that's mad)

Hi

The gfx card would be particularly weak, drop the SSD back a capacity, you could use the SRT to use the SSD as a cache for the main HDD, for a coupla quid more this Seagate is much better than the Green drive
If youre not bothered about future SLi then this bundle saves you a few quid, includes a decent cooler, excellent case and solid PSU
All in all marginally more and contains a decent new GPU, yeah the RAM is so cheap ATM why not

Thanks for the tips - have ordered the components and am building it this weekend! Result!

Only thing I'm a little nervous about is the cooler - went for the Antec 920 Kuhler in the end. For some reason I'm only now really worrying about it springing a leak!

Hopefully just being a worry wart
