... about fans, I had to make another thread as the other thread about 120mm fans seems to of died, I apologise:o

One final question about Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm fans.


Do the Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1850 RPM - 3 Pin fans run at 1850RPM by default if I use a Y splitter for my H70? Because I will be plugging them in both to the 3 pin header on the motherboard using one 3 pin MB header to run both fans.

Depends on what the 3 pin MB header is, if it is the CPU_FAN header then the fan will be controlled depending on the cpu heat. If the fan header is PWR_FAN then they will both run at 100%.

Im guessing theyll be running through the CPU_FAN header and thus will run quietly when idle.
 
yes, 3pin fans have no speed modulation afaik so they will always run at their stated speed unless you use a fan controller :)
