Can you use LN2 in an everyday system?

The reason I ask is because I looked at these:

The chips may do those speeds under LN2 but what is the point of buying one if you can't run it in an everyday system?

I'd assume they'd also give you the best chance of getting a decent overclock on air over a random chip.

There are other high end cooling setups that aren't as extreme as LN2 that can be used for more sustainable extreme cooling though have gone out of fashion a bit like phase change/peltier setups.

I understand what you are saying but you only get a 90 day warranty with them and that put me off. If they offered 12 months it would give you some peace of mind.

those chips are suppose to do the advertise speed under water, not ln2. on the box of my 4770K it says [email protected] 4c4t, that is what it does under ln2.

What speed did you get under water?

4.9ghz 1.3v air cooling (thermalright HR-02) . i think mines needs a delid though as it creeps to 90c under full load. also got the cache running at 4.7ghz as well which is rare.

What voltage are you using for the 2600k @ 4.8Ghz in your sig?
