Please enter £ sign

Hello all bit of an odd question as need to validate an account online which is done via my mobile phone but when i enter my code it says to finish with £ sign so how do you get one to show up

Go to where you get your full stops from, scroll along to pound sign.

If it is an automated service asking you to finish an entry with the pound sign it means #.

This got me once, didnt know what the hell it was talking about when it said "the pound sign"...i just pressed the only 2 non-digit numbers on the phone and it seemed to do the trick!

Americans call the hash key the pound key and I cannot work out why since it isn't even the pound symbol. Very strange.

It's not pounds sterling, but pounds in weight (in the same way ' is feet, " is inches).

Mind you, BT call it square and not hash!

oh right. I always though pound in weight was 'lb'
