Please help - am running out of ideas

Hi All,

Got my machine up and running - Spec:

Asus P5WDH MB
2 Gb OCZ Gold 6400 ram
Duo Core 2 e6600
Seagate barracuda 320gb
Ati 1900XT Graphics

Well basically - after about 15 mins maybe more i am getting a blank blue screen - light blue in colour with no error message on it

.

I have tried updating the mb bios to 1201, reinstalled the graphic cards drivers, checked loose cabling, its been ages since i built a pc so i am running out of idea.

Anyone help?

Tried another monitor?....... or that monitor on another PC, its a possiblity.

Have had this monitor for a good while - used to use it on my old setup without issue. Hence not sure...i think it may be a monitor issue but why wouldnt it come back unless restarted? :confused:

Not sure, but if you don't test another monitor its not ruled out. Try the obvious things first. Thats ok providing you have a spare i guess.

Tried reseating the graphics card?

Yep reseated the graphics card - still same problem :-(

Have you tried using 1 stick of RAM/Swapping them around?

Boot the PC in safe mode and see if it happens, if it doesnt it's likely something on the software side, drivers, dodgy os install, etc etc....

At least that will narrow it down.....

Depends really, when you have these problems are you doing anything in particular or just having it on causes the problem???
