Please help analyse my build

Hi Guys,

I've been wanting to upgrade my old machine for a while now as my old machine is now starting to struggle. Its a q6600 processor with a slightly newer Nvidia 650 graphics. However running most games on it now is getting painful.

I'm mainly going to be 1080p gaming with it, but Id like the opportunity to go SLI for some higher resolution fun or at-least a bit of future proofing in the future. Usually RPGs but with the Witcher 3 coming out and it struggling with pillars of eternity, It has to be time for an upgrade.

I don't need hard drives, as i have a ssd and a sata hdd I bought for an upgrade for my old machine 6 months ago that i can use. OS isn't an issue either.

After checking out the deals of the week I've come up with the following.

The case I'm not really bothered about, but the idea of making things quieter sounds good.

The G1 is quite good I think. My mate just bought one and he's loving it. He running GTA V at 1080p and apparently running it quite nicely. I'd def go for this over a 980 as they're way pricey for what they are.
 
Hi mate, I would go with a 850w PSU if you plan SLI in the future. You will have to upgrade from 550w anyway so might as well go with 850w now :)

I really like the Antec P100 case. Thanks for finding it. I assume the PSU that goes with it wont cope with SLI though if I need a 850w one though.

Is a more powerful PSU going to make the machine sound like a tornado?
 
A bigger psu may run quieter as its under less stress.

Some psu like the evga G2 have an eco mode so the fan is off at low loads/temps.

I however, have been a parsnip.

I've just realized that I'm going to need a monitor in the build as I will be giving the one I'm using to my son with the old PC. (keyboard mouse etc we have spares of)

So.... remembering that, Id say SLI is off the cards for a while...

The Antec P100 bundle seems like the best value. So with that in mind, can you recommend any monitor that will be great with the G1 to keep the build around a grand? I'd rather not spend any more to be honest.

Also, Would i need any thermal paste or a CPU cooler or are they included in the bundle?

Sorry for all the rather basic questions :) Its been about 6 years since i last did a build.
