Hi guys,

I've been passed a Toshiba Satellite C50D Laptop to try fix. Out of the blue when at the Windows 8 login screen the num lock is permanently lit and no keys or the trackpad word. USB mouse and keyboard exactly the same.

The mouse and keyboard work in bios and startup repair options.

Any idea what can cause this? Tried numerous FN+ keys but it doesn't seem to be that that's the issue.

Try CTRL + F5?

If not work then try fix for the keyboard malfunction:
1. Turn off computer, disconnect the power cord, remove the battery.
2. Press the Power On button for 10 seconds.
3. Replace battery and/or connect power cord.
4. Turn On computer + immediately press F2 key repeatedly.
5. Press F9 then press Enter.
6. Press F10 then press Enter.
