Please help diagnose my problem

Basically my pc freezes etc at random intervals when playing a game, usually BF2 or COD2. My spec is in sig, and everythings stock. I thought it was maybe the memory so i tried with two sticks in, same problem, and the other two sticks in, same problem. If i i only have 2 sticks (1Gb) in, BF2 refuses to load past 82%.
I really dont know whats causing this and i could cry its getting to me that much. Please help me diagnose the problem

Did you check the technical support section and forums put up by the games developers to see if there is a fix for the issue you describe.. Perhaps they need a patch or something!

make sure you got all the game patches and fixes and that all your hardware is up to date

Yea they're all patched etc, i know its not the game - never happened with my x1900xt. Its weird that BF2 crashes at 82% loading with 1Gb, whichever sticks i use, is this a clue to something?

Try it with the one stick....see what happens.

I'm presuming you dont have the Ati card still?

Nope i dont have the ati card sadly. i'll try one stick
