I basicaly having problems running games smoothly.
My specs
dual 2.2
3 gig ram
4870 512ram
windows vista
Recently reinstalled windows and I use kaspersky antivirus.
My temps at idle are around 40-50 and at load 50-60.
I have starcraft 2 on medium setting and at 1440x900 and it dips down to below 30 and averages around 30 fps. http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=26242&locale=en_US
By looking at the system recommended, it seems I should be able to run it smoothly on medium at a lower ress. Also teamfortress 2 is much smoother but it dips down to 40fp quite often, on high at 14400x900. The game seems more intensive since it came out, due to updates and seeming the source engie is very biased towards cpu's then gpus that will effect my performance but still I think theres something wrong.
Is this to be expected because of my weak cpu(On these games I think it should give better performance tbh) or is it something else. Also please dont suggest upgrading etc because im going to buy a new pc but it seems odd that I dont get better performance on these games.
