Please help got Malware on my PC?

Have you tried using Windows Defender to run a scan? That would be the first thing to do.

After that you can run an online virus scan, there's some good ones like Trendmicro, Malwarebytes, etc.

I'm sure some others can chime in with better answers, it's been decades now since I've encountered malware *touch wood*.

So Daily Mail is causing the problem? Windows defender scan found nothing. Will try Malwarebytes. I have told chrome to block images.

The blue rectangle, must be some (new) neo-version of the Black Square by Malevich due to your time spent on the Daily Mail website.

Try a malwarebytes scan. Also, in future maybe not show your whole screen in a capture because, well...

  1. Remove the screenshots.
  2. Backup data you want to keep.
  3. Reset your pc (remove everything) for a clean windows install.
  4. After you reinstall Chrome install the uBlock Origin Lite extension.
  5. Change all your passwords, make sure a password is never reused, get a password manager e.g. Bitwarden to help you manage this. Ideally use a different username and email address for each site. see gmail plus addressing
  6. Never click links or attachments in emails.
  7. Stop reading the news.

Forum in dark mode but everything else in eye blinding mode. Why do this to yourself??

Switch to Brave, you can import everything into it (it'll do so automatically) and it'll do all the jobs for you.

It's also chromium so wont be any different to use.

If you had ublock origin/lite then you'd never have seen any malware/ads through the browser ever. I don't know why you're bothering with malware bytes browser addon, just use uBlock as mentioned, nothing else is needed assuming you have Windows Defender enabled and have some common sense.

All the big 3 browsers support ublock origin.
