Hi there As I never built my PC my self I thought it would have a input on the power supply for my new x1800 card.

I have checked all round my power supply box unit installed on my PC and there is no inputs for the power lead to go from the graphics card.

What are my options here ? can I attach it to another part of my PC ?

god I am so thick ! why dont i look in to these things more !

thanks for help

Will the inputs all ways be on the outside of the power supply ? as I can see a hole with quite a few cables going in to the inside.

Would I need to unscrew the power supply box and connect it from the inside ? is the normal thing

confused !

If you mean that your PSU has no six-pin PCI-E connector then there should be a four-pin molex connector that clips on with a six-pin connector on the end of it in the box.

Do not open your PSU.
Only use the external cables for plugging anything in.
If you have an older PSU (as stated above) you will likely need a molex to pcie converter cable - which should be in the box, or you can buy one very cheaply.
