Hi guys, I've poked around and can't find this info. I've just started overclocking my system (as per beginners guide) and am cranking up FSB. Obviously the HT frequency is rising too (currently 1075Mhz). However, I cannot find the setting to reduce the HT multiplier in my bios! My board is a Gigabyte GA-M55+-S3G AM2. Does anyone know where the setting is? Or if there's an update or something that'll let me change it? Cheers in advance guys!

Was just going to make a thread on this topic, but i figured i'd post here, from what i've been told the bios needs updating, i've downloaded a .ROM file, but unsure how the process goes, I guess booting to floppy, but would like to know for sure first, don't like the idea of messing with the bios :)

mobo that im planning on OCing is a Asus A8V-EAYZ

The BIOS update should a have flasher with it. Extract the files straight to a Floppy. Updating is normally automatic with the .bin selected. Should get prompted after the flash, and F8 to continue on to a bootup.

@ Heaven - There's a program you can use called Asusupdate that lets you flash the bios in windows. I'm sure you can get it from the Asus site somewhere.

@Doctoe - I think I found your mobo manual and I can't see an option to change the HTT multiplier either

asus update is the best program for flashing your BIOS on asus boards, its simple, quick and more or less hastle free :) theres also 'winflash' as well
