Ok so backstory, this Gigabyte x470 Aurus gaming 7 i got a few months ago and after a few days it started to degrade, the audio stopped working and then it would just start crashing and then eventually not even turn on. I got it replaced under warranty and now i turn my PC on this morning and its audio isnt working.....i dont know whats happening, 2 days ago i updated the bios and it went fine and had it work for over a day with no issue, i have changed nothing and even ran an UBUNTU live cd and there was no audio on there either so its not windows, i tried different speakers too.

So does anyone know whats going on? i just dont know what to do and the idea of another RMA is pushing me to tears, i spent a lot on this to get something that worked, what is going on.

Can't really help you other than to suggest try buying a cheap sound card, only to avoid RMAing it.

The worry is this will start degrading like last time, first the audio went and then a few hours/days later more and more stopped and it became more and more unstable, no idea whats going on. I have a brand new Seasonic Platinum PSU so i doubt its that, everything is brand new......im lost

Just because everything is brand new doesn't mean that things sometimes don't go wrong. However its unlikely to be the board at fault twice. My first guess would be psu, can you test with another unit?

Or try it on a voltmeter?
