Please help Laptop dead

Hi. I have a linx 14 inch laptop. I updated windows and it is now dead. I don't understand how this can happen. It seems their laptops had a similar issue when updated. The thing is even in the bios there is no longer an option to boot from usb. It won't boot on the HDD installed or the inbuilt 64gb HDD. All I can get into is the bios or the efi. Any ideas? I can't afford a new laptop and this one is working fine other than this new issue.

Try taking the main battery out for 10 mins. and make sure the power lead is out.
When the battery is out press the turn on button to make sure the system has no power.
This has worked for me in the past.
