please help lost connection after xp sp3 install

hi, ok so im here at a friends house sorting their pc, i install xp sp3 and now it wont connect to internet, in safe mode with networking it works but not on normal account.

what can i do? i have tried to unistall sp3 but it wont allow me to :mad:

please help!!!!!!

Well sounds like driver issue, wireless or wired?

How does it connect? Router? USB modem?

Old versions of Zonealarm caused this if I remember correctly.

sorry for the late reply, it was zonealarms that caused it!!
i had disabled it but still wouldnt work, so i uninstalled and it was back on the net

now using comodo!!

Thats a good tip about zone alarm, never liked it
