Was going to invest in a NAS drive, but have decided to look at alternatives! I have an old, working, AMD 600MHz gathering dust in the loft, which I am hoping, with your help, to put to good use. 
I need to be able to access the data on it via a couple of PC’s, in different rooms of the house, a Laptop, and a modded XBOX. I would like it to act as a mail server, and download box, so on 24/7, while providing playback access of my music and movie files without the need to copy them over to the device I intend on using them on. Also, is it possible to store game saves on it, in a way, as to allow me to resume a game, from the last save, on a different PC, obviously, with the game installed on both PC’s? I would want to be able to manipulate the PC remotely, so I can hide it either back in the loft, or in a cupboard. Can this be done?
