Please help me choose a laptop for my wife!

Hi all, my wife's birthday is coming up and I was thinking of getting her a laptop so she will stop hogging my own pc.

I've never really paid any attention to laptops before so I'm not really sure what I should go for, a Sony Vaio, Dell, Toshiba?

I'm thinking of spending around 900-1200 Euro, if I can get something good for less then that wouldn't be a problem.

Anyways, it has to be powerful enough so when I get my hands on it it will satisfy me as well

Do you think a 14-15 inch screen is enough or is 17 better?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Mic, do you think the Vaio's are overpriced or just not as good as Dell and Toshiba?

She'll be mainly using it for the internet and some photoshop.

I had a look at the Dell Studio 17, it looks quite nice. Any idea how long Dell takes to deliver? I need it by next sunday.....I know I left it too late!

P.S. Any HP models worth having a look at?
