I'm long out of touch with new hardware so forgive me but that's why I'm here asking.

I need a new monitor, it will be used 99% in a home office for work. I am looking for a wide monitor for desktop space with a single rather than dual monitors. I'd like decent built in speakers and obviously a good sharp picture. When I say good speakers, I'm into hifi and have very low expectations of anything built in, but something better than 2x1W tin cans. They won't be used for music listening etc, I just want something usable for Teams and perhaps the odd xbox game (which I hardly ever play) or film in the background. (or the Picture in Picture from another source seems like a good feature.)

These monitors have caught my interest, and are around the price range I'm interested in. I'm not clear why the b-grade item originally cost so much more, the spec's don't seem any better.

I only have a single HDMI out I assume my modern laptop can support this resolution with a single HDMI?
