Please help me decide between the, Galaxy S22 Ultra v iPhone 13 Pro Max (But with a specific twisty bit)

Hello Everyone,
I don`t know if anyone is going to be able to specifically help with this query or offer any advice however here goes.
I am a die hard Samsung Galaxy fan, especially after having a very early iPhone which I in the end, utterly hated that iPhone. I couldn`t wait to get rid of it.

(This will have been well over 10 years ago, possibly 12, just to give anyone an idea of when I had my last iPhone)

However, I am due a new phone, and I have been looking into the S22 Ultra and the Pro Max I like both phones, and the camera on the iPhone does seem better than Samsung, however Samsungs screen is a bit bigger.

Now, normally I would be hands down order the S22, However, my reason for looking at the iPhone at all is currently I am completely and totally profoundly deaf and so I shortly will be having bilateral cochlear implants.
The cochlear implant was designed and they worked very closely with Apple to quite a deep level when making the cochlear (Its literally the brand name as well as what its called, so sorry for confusion). So basically, from what we have seen from other cochlear implant users is that their cochlear works great with the iPhone, the app used by the cochlear looks very similar on both android and Apple so for that I can`t see the problem.
So just really wanting thoughts if you would be swayed by the fact Apple had imput in the making of the implants so would you base that on your phone choice. Or if anyone has any thoughts on this or knows anyone with a cochlear who uses both a Samsung phone or iPhone?

You can get the S22 Ultra because it is bugger with more available apps as well as it is a newly launched phone. iPhone 13 Pro max is a great phone but it is kinda old now, so go for S22 Ultra. Also, you're a Samsung Fan!

Nope, This isn`t quite the case, the app can customise the processor for different sound situations, and can even do "bubbles". It can do many different things, including switching between different things so TV/Phone/Radio.

Also it is worth noting, the app does not "set up the implant" That is done by an audiologist.

That is the question, also i will be wearing a cochlear implant which is totally different way of working than a hearing aid.

No, i said other CI users all use the Iphone and say it works great. I am asking for opinions on both. And I must stress once again, I do not have a CI yet, I also must state again its very different to a hearing aid.
I think if you dont have an experience of a cochlear and using the app/phones then i`m not really interested in peoples opinions im after peoples experiences.

It looks like you want direct integration/streaming instead of the fallback Bluetooth connection. Seems like Apple Has better support for this. There is a comparability guide, which lists the Pixel and Samsung S models. I think the long and short is that Apple will offer the better experience, but you’re probably fine with the Samsung.
