I'll just point out first that I don't know a whole lot about keyboards and the various individual components so bear that it mind.

I've been using a Keychron K2 for a couple of years but decided to sell it as it had a few annoyances and I was all set on buying a Logitech 915 TKL when the price was down to £115 but I ended up not getting it since a lot of people have criticized the quality of the keycaps and the switches were the clicky kind and I'd prefer linear.

I bought a Corsair K63 Wireless and I'm going to return it for the simple reason that the backlight is insanely bright even at its lowest setting and it reflects heavily on my monitor screen.

I've had a look at the GMMK keyboard "system" but there's almost too much choice of switches, keycaps and stabilizers and i'm at a bit of a loss as to what else might suit me. I'll list my requirements below as well as things i'd like but aren't deal breakers.

Requirements:
£120 absolute max budget
Linear switches (i like the MX Reds of this Corsair K63 and a switch like it with even less actuation force would be great)
Backlight that has excellent adjustments for brightness (doesn't necessarily have to be RGB)
TKL

What I'd like but not deal breakers:
Mechanical but quiet
Wireless
Media keys for volume

Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks

MX Red is as light as it gets.
Unless you want switch to go down just from hard staring of it.

Logitech's GL is also quite light switch, even if tactile variant.
(short travel makes use kinda lighter)
And Logitechs have good light control range, or moderate brightness to start with and without more light elsewhere than in keycap marking.

Especially Cherry MX RGB and its clones seem to be generally bad in control of illumination with keybaords looking like some darn US style ADHD Christmas lights.
Single colour Cherry MX with normal non surface mount LED has better control of light.
But not sure if those switch variants are in use nowadays.
