Please help me find this game...

Hi all, new to this posting thing so if i put this in the wrong place, apologies!

On my really old PC i had a game called "captain comet" or something like that. It was a very basic, 2D game, and had various different levels. The first was at night and he had to find a key to open the door to the next level, which was then day, and i think you had to get over some water. there was another level in a sorta spaceship type thing and you had to avoid being hit by big furry ball things by jumping up and down different levels and i think collect things too...

Any ideas what this game is and where i could get it from?? :confused:

Not on about the Commander Keen games are you? They're still shareware and available on the net if you google...
 
its definatey not duke nukem, but its more like the other but much more basic... kinda robotic movements, but meant to be a person (me thinks)

btw, whats 'shareware' i have no idea about anything computer trlated?? :o
 
I remember Captain Comic. It was out about the same time as Duke Nukem (no, not DN 3D - the original 2D platform) and Commander Keen. Quite good, but Commander Keen was it's superior by far in my opinion.
 
sorry to (semi) knick the thread , but I saw an advert from 1989 for Test Drive II in a recent mag and reminised (for all of 5 minutes) abotu how much fun it was being in a Porsche 959 beating a Ferrari ...... :D
