It's in a running machine but is possibly the cause of some instability. Going through my old emails, it looks like it might be a Corsair RM650x, but doesn't seem to match any photos of such a product.

I can't take it apart yet, just want to try and ID it.

Long shot I know.

A photo of the back of the PSU will tell anyone nothing
Never underestimate the knowledge of a pack of nerds :D

Yeah, have a poke around to see what it is, how old, and whats the rest of the build?
Well the PC was originally built back in 2011, but I think this refresh into the current case and motherboard was alive 2017.

Really hard to figure what type it is based on the blue fan. From a google search am guessing its a Zalman or Alpine or some generic one.
I'll take a look. It's a quiet PC, so suspect I may possibly have bought the case from somewhere that specialises in quiet pcs, and I think zalman would have been a likely choice. Thanks.

If you take the side panel off the case you will be able to see what it is in seconds instead of waiting for people on here to take a blind guess at it.
I would if the PC was in my possession, just trying to ascertain when the power supply was purchased to check warranty.

How is identifying it going to help troubleshoot your issue/
I hope my previous reply answers your question.

OK so I was wrong :p Silverstone are OK depending on what you buy. I wouldn't power a high end rig with that PSU though. I'd replace it with this. A billy bargain at this price

Fortunately I found a couple of Corsair HX650's laying about, so have replaced the suspect PSU above with one. Will see how it goes!

Keep us posted. FTR I owned a HX650 many moons ago before it went pop & it was an RMA replacement for a HX520. Corsair replaced that too, but I sold it as 3rd time could have been a charm. ;)

For sure. I am confident there is a reason I have two (and a third, TX650) in a crate destined for boot sales. I just can't remember why now.
