PLEASE help me! I'm going insane here!

OK so i have just completed my new gaming rig!

All is well apart from the damned wireless connection!

I get FULL reception but the internet is going painfully slow. takes like 4 mins to load google!!

i tried replacing the network adapter, no luck just a stronger signal.

I tried reinstalling the drivers, again no luck

i cant for the life of me figure it out

I would be so grateful for some suggestions

bypass the wireless and run a network cable and see how your net runs

You'd know that it's just a wireless issue rather than a more general problem.

Have you tried changing the wireless channel?

Install inSSIDer to see what's going on locally.

try running speedtest.net and pingtest.net see what results they give you on wireless.

seem to take forever to connect to the network wirelessly, then it take ages to identify network and find a connection. when it does find it, its uber slow

Show us a picture of your network with others nearby. I think it's the 2.4Ghz tab and it's a graph basically. It tells you what wireless channel you and nearby networks are on. You basically don't want to be on the one that is most crowded. Ideally you should be on 1, 6 or 11.

Also do you have any other mobile devices you can connect via WiFi to test with, such as a smartphone.

Overlapping wireless channels.

Find what channels your neighbours are using and try and pick one that doesn't overlap

1/6/11 is usually the safe bet.

Take a screenshot, post it in to paint and save it, then upload to www.imgur.com which will give you the forum code to use

I would change your channel to 6 as a starting point.
