Please help me settle an argument (over 40s only)

Hi GD

There is a TV ad selling a lawn care product and I'm positive the man doing the voice-over is Bernard Cribbins off of the Wombles and many other kids programs but my other half is positive it isn't him.

I've searched wiki and imdb but can't get a definitive answer so l'm pulling out the big guns and asking GD:

Is it him?

I can tell you for a fact it's not him, but my opinions are not yet 4 decades old and so also count for nothing.

Been doing more research, just emailed a query to the production company.

Also listened to more of his clips, Bernard Cribbins' voice is a slightly higher pitch when chatting but when narrating he talks more slowly and his voice drops to a lower pitch, very similar to the lawn add.

Other half is doing no research whatsoever, it's as if she thinks this isn't important! If I'm wrong then so be it but I reckon it's him. Time will tell.
