Hi there I built myself a new system in february
It's a i7 2600k CPU I've had it clocked @ 4.5ghz
Asus p8p67 deluxe motherboard
16GB corsair DDR3 vengeance 1600mhz (4x4Gb)
Msi twin frozr II GTX 580
Creative x-fi titanium pcie sound
Corsair h70 CPU water cooler with upgraded alpenfohm silent fans! In push pull configuration.
2 x 1TB sata HDDs samsung spinpoint
Corsair f90 SSD hard drive.
Sony blu ray drive
Lian-li x500 tower
Hyper 880w psu unit (only part from old pc used)

I've been using pc since built without any problems , I mainly use pc at weekends and rarely get chance in the week. Today I tried to turn on and it won't post! I here the fans turn and hdds start up but no display. There is an led screen on board which gives you a code. It hangs on 45. I've tried looking in the book but it don't tell you what it means. I took the battey out the board and got the system to get to the screen where it says press f1 to continue. I restarted and put battery back in but back to the 45 error! Tried taking out battery again but don't make any difference just won't show anything on the screen . Any ideas would be handy :) thanks

Your taking the battery out to try and clear the CMOS, for this you need to pull the mains plug from the wall, have you done this?

And I think that motherboard has a clearCMOS button on the pcb anyways?

I've looked for clear CMOS but couldn't see it. I did turn off at wall and remove power lead before I removed battery yes. I removed Battery as I had looked up errors on my board and seen some1 else had solved there problem by taking out the battery for 5 mins.

Now your left with just using the essentials.

Remove the sound card.
Blue-ray and HDD's
And try one stick of RAM in all the slots, try other sticks of RAM too.

Ok I've removed all but 1 memory and all hdds and sound card. I am getting to the efi bios. I have loaded default settings and when I reboot. The pc starts. Turns itself off and a few seconds later back on. The back to the efi bios

I've added 1 by one soundcard, memory and SSd and windows is running. Trying the other hdds now, do u think it's power related or a bios update required on motherboard perhaps?

Got everything reconnected and it's working. Only thing is When I initially turn on system it turns off before post and turns back on again. Think you maybe right about the power supply
