please help me

What PSU do you have now?

The one you linked is quite "low end" so may not be any better, maybe even worse, than the 500W you have now.

What's the spec. for the rest of your PC?

I assume you've picked the Eyefinity 5 Edition card for a particular reason?

Perhaps we should take a few steps back.

Have you confirmed that the processor will work in the the motherboard you have?

What processor do you have now?

Do you have a graphics card now or are you using onboard graphics?

Would I be correct in assuming you want a graphics card for gaming?

The Eyefinity 5 Edition is a specialised card designed for connecting multiple displays using DisplayPort connections or adapters.

Do you only have 1 monitor?

There are similar "standard" cards for less money or better performing cards for similar money.

What sort of budget do you have for a processor, graphics card and PSU (if needed) upgrade?

the cpu i chose is compatible and its good enough for what gaming i do, i have an AMD athlon(tm)II x2 250 processor 3.0ghz and i have a

right now i mean im only playing games like wow,gw2,tf2,minecraft but if i can bf3 would be nice :P and as for budget i think i have somewhere in the £250 for everything i need .....well last time i checked and my friends said if im getting a graphics card id only need a 500w-600w for a single card setup

So that's about £160 left after you've bought the processor.

You are only running 1 monitor?

What resolution is it?

There's a good price on the HD 6850: MSI HD 6850 OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £83.99 until Wednesday morning.

It's better than the HD 6770 for gaming.

Comparison here: HD 5770 v HD 6850

(The HD 6770 and 5770 are basically the same).

If your power supply has a 6 pin power connector for the graphics card then it may be sufficient if you don't plan on overclocking.

If you plan on overclocking then you could defininitely do with a better one.

It's up to you if you want to try it first or buy a new PSU anyway.

right i am only running 1 monitor its got a max resolution of 1366x768 also i don't plan on overclocking this current set up i may just have this for a year or 2 max then id just build a new one.I don't have any clue if the power supply has a 6 pin connector, what i was planning on does was buy the graphics card, then see if it fits and work all good if not ill buy a new psu also if i got that 6850 wouldn't i have to upgrade my power supply anyway because it take up an extra slot any what not?

The fact that the card is dual slot just means that you need to have room to fit a full height dual slot card in your system.

With a HD 6850 you probably need around 275W of power which your current PSU may be OK to provide.

If it doesn't have a 6 pin power connector then the card usually comes with an adapter to convert 2 molex power connectors if you have those free.

If you're only going to be gaming @ 1366x768 then possibly a HD 6670 or HD 7750 may be sufficient, and need less power, but you'll get much better performance from a HD 6850.

ah well then for all that if i get the 6850 and the processor i should be fine for now and ill even have money left to get a power supply if its needed thanks for all your help really helped me a lot tonight
