Please help, MSI P35 Neo2 FR & Core2

Right,

Ordered this system..and i cant get anything to appear on the screen.

Ive installed it all like this..





I know the cables are a mess but id rather it boot before sorting them..

Im using a DVI to VGA adaptor on the back of the graphics card,
Ive got the two sticks of RAM in both the orange slots and
Ive got a power cable left with two similar connections to that of the one i plugged into the graphics card?

There is a main power cable going to the motherboard and one smaller one to power the CPU.

I think im doing something simple but really stupid wrong. PLEASE help

Should it have one power cable to it or 2? I have two that would fit together to slot in?

EDIT :

Yeah should have some 2x2 pin power connectors to slot in there on the psu, with the 2 you have check to see if the click together, some i've seen do some dont.


make sure everything is seated okay and all plugged in.

have you got another adaptor you can try, another monitor cable ?

does the system sound like its booted okay, are the disks spinning up, all the fans working ok , on cpu , gfx card etc

could try a minimum boot with just hd/processor/1 stick of memory/gfx card.

Yeah everything boots fine,

Hardrives spins all the fans kick in, it sounds like its clicking in. Ive definately missed something regarding the last pic.

Ive read the mobo manual but unsure of what PSU cables to use. Its the corsair 450 if anyone has one to help?

They dont click together, but do i put both in?

Also can anyone confirm the memory is in the right slots?
