Hi guys, just built a system with an IP35 and everything is together, cables connected correctly etc, I powered up and power on

...all fans spin for a second or so then go off, the green light flickers on then straight off, this process repeats until i power off. :(

I tried uplugging components/fans but no joy, however when i unplug the 4 pin power connector at the top of the board everything spins up and stays on, but no display output (i am assuming this is because the cpu is unpowered?)

Can anyone offer some advice/guidance?

My gut feel is the power supply but this was working in my previous rig (although it hasnt been used for 6 months or so)

Any help greatly appreciated.

done that already mate, no joy though i'm afraid :(

I'm going to try another power supply tomorrow...will be ****** off if it is, paid a fortune for the seasonic one from ocuk just over a year ago (march 17th )

Thanks for the replies so far any other ideas?

I'd say original, its a BFG 8800GTS OC bought from OCUK.....I dont know what the latter is!

The problem occurs even with the card out of the machine.

Sorted! ended up stripping the media PC to swap out all of the components, everything works in the media PC bar the memory - turns out BOTH cellshock sticks are completely dead, no matter what the configuration the cellshock sticks are knackered...has anyone ever experienced this before i.e both sticks dying simultaneously?

However even with good memory in the Abit board has the same problem with the 4-pin pulugged in, so i'm thinking that i must have just been unlucky and got a dodgy board!...needless to say its on its way back and am just about to order some new memory, thinking crucial ballistix.

Thanks for your replies though;)

I've been reading about quite a few problems with those of late. Maybe consider something else.
