Hello,

This is my first post and apologies in advance for any noobness...

I just bought a Sapphire 6950 GPU and was worried about my CPU being a bottleneck so I decided to overclock it. I have a Q6600 (G0 Stepping) overclocked to 3.2GHz (9 x 355.75)

In my P5N32-E Sli Plus bios (v. 0803) I have the following settings:

FSB -Memory Clock Mode: UNLINKED
FSB - 355.75 (1423)
DDR - 800MHz (790.6 Actual)
CPU Multiplier: 9

VCORE Voltage: 1.40V
DDR Voltage: Auto
1.2 HT Voltage: 1.2V
NB Voltage: 1.30V
SB Voltage: 1.5V
CPU VTT Voltage: 1.5V

DDR Timings all set to AUTO

My problem is I can run Prime95 for over 12 hours with these settings but sometimes, and what appears to be for no apparent reason, my PC just locks up. By 'locks up' what I mean is the mouse stopes moving, any sound or video that may have been playing will just stutter and ctrl+alt+del does not do anything. I am therefore forced to reboot.

I am aware that the motherboard I have is not great at overclocking quadcore processors but I believe it is due to FSB holes which I don't think is the issue here. Fore example my PC will not boot up if I overclock to 3.2GHz using 8x400 multiplier and FSB.

Btw I have 4 sticks of 1.5GB ram voltage rated at 2.1V (x2) and 2.0V (x2)

P.S Cooling is not an issue, I have a lapped CPU and Heatsink (TRUE Black) that doesnt go above 49 Degrees even at 3.2GHz under load.

Thanks in advance
