If you're going to be upgrading the CPU then everything changes anyway. At what resolution do you game, and what is your budget?

The RTX 3080 is being released in 10 days, so that should have a downwards effect on GPU prices. If Nvidia repeat what they did with the Turing launch the card you should be buying - the RTX 3060 - will be released very early next year - the RTX 2060 was released in January 2019.

That's a bit long to wait so look at a cheap GPU like a GTX 1650 Super or 1660 Super for now and save your pennies for a stonking upgrade in the new year.

You can get cheap Xeon i7 4xxx replacement for like £40-50 and something like rtx2060 for £250 if you’re willing to upgrade now, however if you wait you might see better deals due to new architecture but that’s long wait

You should remove that competitor link. That's a VA monitor anyway, which is prone to smearing, especially with darker colours. You want a TN or IPS monitor. IPS is preferred for better colour accuracy.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

OCUK have cheaper 144 Hz IPS monitors listed but none in stock.

I'm not a Fortnite player but a quick dig indicates that for 144 fps you need a GTX 1070 or equivalent, which should today be a GTX 1660 Super or RX 5600 XT.

I'll let others weigh in on whether thr RX 5600 XT is £60 better than the 1660 Super.
