Im in the process of ordering with Overclockers my new build. But im not sure which to go for the 1060 or 480, whichever i buy will be an overclocked version just not sure which one. Im wanting to play at 1080p on games such as battlefield 1 amongst other games but mainly BF1. Needs to be decided pretty quickly as im ready to press the BUY icon :D
 
AMD recently released a really nice driver package which improved performance across many games. So, I would go for the 480. However, which types of 480 and 1060 are available in this build?

An RX470 4GB would do the job fine with BF1 - there are videos on YT showing it easily getting over 60FPS at 1080P.

I would make sure you try and aim for at least a Core i5 for BF1 if you can.
 
So this is the build I know its not the best but it's a starting point with the aim to upgrade it.

Any of the 1060 or 480 are available I'm not looking at the cheapest option just whichever is the best.

Also, I would definitely get rid of the 'gaming' keyboard you have at the moment. Gaming keyboards are mostly a gimick, however gaming mice have some benefit. Asus also aren't particularly known for their gaming mice, I would choose another brand like Logitech, Steelseries or Razer. You'll get a better mouse, for a much lower price.

OK the keyboard wouldn't be used for gaming anyways as I can't use them being a console gamer. Would either be a game pad or the PS Navigation Move. But will take into account the Mouse Thank you.

But then also have to add on the CPU cooler as well? So is getting more expensive. Also would have to add RAM as well so probably works out a lot more?

It comes with a stock cooler like the bundle you are looking at. The difference is the motherboard I suggested is the B150 chipset which has more features plus you can add more RAM with the motherboard I suggested.

The total comes to around £320 instead of the £316 of the bundle.
 
I know it may be hard to decide on one, but picking a figure for budget is really important as it puts some confines on what we can look at for you. From looking at the components, it roughly seems like your budget is ~ £850 with a GPU. Does that seem about right?

Right so I choose the GTR GPU so that is that done. My budget is £900- £950 Total order value

So, I removed the gaming mouse and keyboard.


I changed the case, to one that comes with 2 fans, so you don't need to buy 2 separately. I changed the PSU. This new one has enough wattage and comes from one of the most reputable brands. You could save £30 more by dropping the SSD to 120gb. You could save another £30 by selling the free game (CIV 6) that comes with the GPU.



So...



You could (with selling game key and getting 120gb ssd) pay £715

Thank you i upgraded the PSU and downgraded the SSD since its only having windows on it. I already have windows 10. Thanks for the help guys
