please help temps on e6600

I currently get 50 idle and 66 full load is this slightly high as i had to reseat the processor and did not replace the paste!
Do you think a reseat with new paste will help?
p.s. all stock speeds and reference heatsink and fan

Yeah definitely reseat with new paste. They're far too high for idle.

reseated 4 times now temps about 2 degrees cooler but can`t get them to go lower prehaps i will have to replace the heatsink and fan to get it cooler?

Hi Fox,

Id go along with the comments of Cob, but what paste are you using? also you may wan't to check & see how well the heat sink is sitting on the proccessor as some of the Conroes are concave which means the heat is not transferred to the heat sink so well. Be particularly carefull to check that the heatsink is sitting properly. Hope this helps.

hmm they are definatly too high, i have same cpu and board but with a tuniq heatsink, im getting temps on 19C idle. I use artic silver paste

using akasa paste at the moment all i could gettoday everything seems stable so will replace heatsink and fan at christmas with artic silver paste!

Would people therefore recommend the Tuniq tower then instead of the ninja as im looking at getting one or the other in the next week.. Also would it not be possible to mount another fan on the ninja therfore creating a push pull effect..
