Please help to increase my X1800xt overclock....

Hi all....

i have my 3dmark 05 score currently at 8713 with overclocks at stock volts with 670/865....http://service.futuremark.com/orb/projectdetails.jsp?projectType=12

could anyone suggest how to get more or should i just keep clocking it up....

showing NO signs of artifacts yet....

which is more important core or memory....

A64 3700+SD
Connect 3d X1800xt 256mb @670/865
2GIG Geil Value
MSI RD480 neo2
480w Antec True power

keep going till you get artifacts,then drop it back 5-10Mhz,then run a few 3D mark benchies

you might want to start clocking your 3700+ as at stock speeds it's probably restricting your 05 score. 8.7k for an overclocked XT is a tad low.

Otherwise carry on increasing core and memory speeds till you hit artifacts really, then back up a couple of mhz.

will do but am not to sure about to going about the overclocking of my cpu....

and how RAM afftes it....

if someone could point me in the right direction i would be greatful....

thank you....

right im pretty sure what im doing as regards to the cpu but how does the RAM affect the overclock....

if i could get my head round that i would overclock....

i have 2GIG geil ram so how would this need to be set to allow me to overclock a tad....

easyest way is to lower the divider in the bios. It will give it as a ratio or as 400, 333, 266, which are ratios of 1:1, 6:5, something, These will lower your memory speeds relative to your FSB ( or what ever the dam thing is called now) speed

hi all

got my cpu up to 2.7ghz on stock heatsink and fan and got the X1800xt 256mb to 685/880 for a 3dmark 05 score of 9647....

all prime95 stable for ten hours....

can someone tell me how to get this higher without me touching the cpu and gpu again....

what about the RAM....i havent touched it so any tips as regards that....
