Hi guys I am trying to download Vista throught he academic alliance, I have clicked the download button and it downloads a thing called a delivery client, I am supposed to double click on this to start however it is one of those files windows doesnt know what to do with and asks me to choose a program, any idea what I need to get it to run?

Also, next to the downlaod button it said "Download From: s3-large.amazonaws.com"

I went to this address it was some amazon web hosting thing but it didnt tell me if I needed a program to run the file :(

Try renaming it with an .exe extension (at least, I have to download a download program in order to download from MSDNAA. Obviously make sure you trust the site before executing anything.

I had loads of problems with the msdnaa delivery program. Kept getting CRC checks aroung 20-30% (sometimes 99%!) and an error "failed due to unknown error in." (typical microsoft error) Even tried it on the uni computers. Very annoying stuff.

Once I got to 100% and it deleted my 2-3gb temp download file and gave me a 100k .iso file in return. Very helpful!

When I had problems with the MSDN:AA before I went to see the department tech bods and they burned me a copy of what I needed.

Perfectly legit as I understand it, you may want to go ask them if you keep having trouble.

They'll only let us do it through the online elms thing.
I don't suppose anyone knows where I can get the iso? I already have my own key (from the site, at least that worked!), and since the business dvd is the same for everywhere, I don't see any issues :(

What I should say is that with a quick browse I can only see lots of cracked 'ultimate' rtm's :(
I like microsoft and all, but things like this mean it's easier to pirate than to do things the official way.

Just an update on my last post, the very kind "tech bods" (as you put it!) let me have a DVD with it on! ....They probably felt sorry for me!
