Hi all,

In the process of upgrading which will include a new monitor. My next dilemma is connecting both monitors to both my games rig and my work laptop.

Any advice please on how best to achieve this?

The games PC will have DP from the GPU. Laptop has either HDMI or USB 3 thunderbolt.

They also need to share keyboard, mouse, headset (USB).

Two monitors with two PCs seems complex to solve.

Thanks.

I'm finding some monitors come with a KVM feature built in, nowadays, so you'd only need the one screen.

I have a Gigabyte M32U and you connect KB&M, etc to the USBs on the monitor, then run a USB-B from the monitor to a USB3.0 port on the PC. Laptop can connect via USB-C/DP/HDMI. Phones can also connect.
Then you simply press the KVM button on the back of the monitor and it switches. Some would say it's magic!

I haven't tried a USB headset, as mine uses 3.5mm, but I imagine that would work...
